Trough our new alias “Wanderlust” we are now crowd funding ‘Hoge Nood’, a short film by Thomas Lazeroms. When our budget is met, we aim to shoot in August 2013. Check out our project at the CineCrowd website for more info.

Team ‘De Filmband’ at this years 48 Hour Film Project Amsterdam won BEST FILM, BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR and BEST WRITING. We hope to screen our short film ‘Geen Klote’ at one of the North American Film Festivals Spring 2014.

I will be taking a short break from IDTV early March, to finish the last scene for our Gliese 581 sci-fi project. Shooting is scheduled for March 6. Keep track of the construction and shooting trough our Facebook page.

A group of friends and film makers is again teaming up for the 48 Hour Film Project Nijmegen this March. The ‘Wanderlust Film’ team can be watched closely trough their facebook page and twitter.

The short movie ‘Brommer op Zee’ (Moped at Sea) which I worked on in Spring 2011 is now available on Youtube. Directed by Diede van Vree.

Film magazine ‘Schokkendnieuws.nl’ interviewed Rianne our director about the process of making Gliese 581. A nice insight in making a small budget sci-fi. You can read about it here.

After the funding success of our sci-fi short ‘Gliese 581’, I am now working on the funding campaign of a new fiction short, to be filmed in spring 2013. Preparations are now being  made to plan both the production and funding process, since crowdfunding has a big impact on bot of them.

Gliese 581 is the story about Eva, a young woman who voluntarily puts her life at risk to write history. Born in the year 2207 Eva has been trained for one specific mission; traveling to the system Gliese 581 to discover a new planet like earth. Closing her final destination, her spaceship starts to have technical malfunctions which let her make the following choice: traveling back to the space station or continuing her journey with the knowledge that return won’t be possible.

I have put online my research paper I wrote for CineCrowd in the past several months, providing helpful insights in crowdfunding for Dutch film.
 

Our sci-fi short ‘Gliese 58’1 is now in post-production. We have succesfully finished the first offline edit and will now continue with the massive 3d-modelling work ahead. 

It’s a wrap for Gliese 581! We have successfully completed our 7 days of shooting in the Culemborg studio. The next few months will be dedicated to post-production of our sci-fi short. For more photo’s, please visit the Gliese 581 Facebook Page.

Currently we are working on a graduation short called ‘Gliese 581’. Gliese 581 tells the story of Eva, a young woman willing to put her life voluntary at risk, in order to write history.
